In most American households, family dinner every night has become a thing of the past.  Everyone is so busy with work, school, and a hundred other things that its very rare when a family gets to sit down at the table together and enjoy a meal.  But people should enjoy this tradition more often.  It’s good to interact with each other, hear about each other’s days, it strengthens the family bond.  If you don’t do this regularly, start out with something fun.  Get some fun tablecloth fabric, and make some wild table runners. 

Get a fun Mexican fiesta themed pattern, or a ‘Wild Wild West’ pattern.  And then, center your whole meal around your tablecloth.  Make some fajitas and tacos for Mexican night, and make dessert Mexican fried ice cream, or perhaps get a piñata and fill it with some candy for your family to break open in a fun after dinner activity.  If you go ‘wild west’ style, cook up some corn bread, or hush puppies, place cowboy hats on the table.

The main idea here is to make dinner fun.  Start by having themed dinner family nights once a week.  It’s a great way for the family to come together and laugh and have fun.  And it doesn’t cost a fortune to do this.  Wholesale table clothes are very cheap and come in almost any shape, color, pattern, texture, and size.  You can decorate the rest of the table with things found around your house.  All you have to buy is the food!
